How it all began ...
Back in September 2001, a young and
ambitious arabic team living in Europe needed to watch some arabic movies,
cartoons on their DVD players ... Internet was 2 year old. After searching for
weeks, 3 websites were found selling Arabic Movies, and round 4 Arabic Music. 1
Music CD even cost $18.95 !! That was much much more then the young fellows
could afford. Why pay so much for a Music CD when it cost in their homeland in
the middle east not even half.
The asking of how to import the CDs
and Movies began ... Shipping was too high, taxes, difficulties ... all summed
up that if they needed cheap materials they need to order in larger quantities.
Some weeks later, and much hard work,
they have gathered enough orders from Arabic stores in the cities in Europe to
make their first order ( over 500 CDs) from the ONLY CD manufacturer those days
in Greece (Hellas Production)
The package came, all was delivered
... but very few profit was made due to the large amount of people who helped
and each one wanted his share.
Another idea came up, why only 1
manufacturer makes ALL the Arabic CDs in the world, the team contacted EMI, and
some major companies to find out why .. result it was the only 1 offering the
best prices.
Mr.Emad M. (part of the team back in
Europe) had to go back to Lebanon, from there he began the hard & long processed
work and gathering a place, finding shipping companies, manufacturers, location,
e-commerce solution, integration of sales ect... this process took him 10 months
of daily work.
Once everything was in its place,
only the website was missing ... this was fast solved by a joined venture with
Arames Network (now called '1wa1.net') who designed, managed and hosted the
project.
November 2002, the final version was
launched ArabiaTower.org ( that is 13 months after the first work started) .. 3
other version were earlier launched as a beta versions .. called ArabiaTarab.com,
ArabiaRecords.com ect ...
The change from ArabiaTarab to
ArabiaTower was decided after the team saw that NOT only Arabic Music CDs were
in need in Europe, USA and worldwide, but also many more items, like sweets,
games, DVD, movies, Cartoons, concerts ect ... So ArabiaTarab needed to be
more vast .. ArabiaTower was born.
One year after the launching, major
problems occurred ... Shipping was too high, many many many other websites
copied us, the prices were getting too low, CDs were often broken in the
delivery, server crashed down 2 times ect ....
A new pricing and idea needed to take
place, but this time the team had an idea of how much he can order from the
manufacturers and also the team could get better prices.
Four months of hard looking, faxing,
meeting, calling, meeting, faxing, emailing, scanning, remeeting ect... the free
shipping policy needed to be changed and the team decided on AirbornExpress (now
called part of DHL), then with Aramex (also part of DHL int) to be the ONLY
shipping possibility. This ment for the end user that he must pay now shipping
cost of $13.00 for 3 products, but no more broken packages, DHL refunds all
broken package up to $300, also the shipping is now delivering the package in
just 72 hours, along with tracking the package ect....
The prices could be handeled to just
$7.56 per Music CD, DVD for just $14.95, Movies for just $8.56 ... a whole new
structre was build to make a better and easier production.
Over 5 different payment method
possible: Checks/ MO , 'PayPal' account, 'MoneyBookers', 'Credit Card', Debit Check,
Bank Transfer ect ...
The team has now a 24 hours working
people, orders are sent daily!!! Even on Fridays or Holidays, a new Support
Center was opened. Tracking is now faster and online ect ...
Since November 2002 ArabiaTower has served over 3 million visitors, over 20000
customers, over 500 products.. it was time for a revamp.
We have now a faster loading time, a
much easier navigation and can serve more customers at the same time
(along with minor changes).
The new site was relaunched in November 2004
The gained 4 years experience taught
the team a lot about how to handle problems, how to be fast, efficient and
cheap. Also in March a new Quality Control service will open soon to check the
quality of each product before shipping, testimonials are taken and noted, a new
motored vehicle will be available soon to sent the order twice daily instead of
1 time daily (usually in the morning), longer working hours have been added ect
... All this will benefit the end user with a faster, cheaper, better quality

How the shipping work
Earlier, 24arabia.com (used to be ArabiaTower at that time) used to
ship the products for FREE. The shipping was made from Lebanon or
Germany with the national parcel company. Of course customers could
also choose the DHL methode but had to pay extra charges.
The FREE shipping took round 3 weeks most of the time, and even
sometime reached 7 weeks to reach the customer, and this is not even
mentioning the percentage of LOST or BROKEN packages that reached up
to %40.
The growing number of customer choosing DHL as a method of shipping
gave the 24arabia.com team an idea of switching completely to DHL
eXpress shipping only.
Unfortunately DHL eXpress shipping calculates the price per WEIGHT
and not per item, so if you buy 1 product or 3 product, you would
still pay the same shipping cost. The motto of the shipping became "The
more you order, the less you pay shipping"
This is also not to mention that DHL cost us a lot, but we HAD to
include this service for our customers, so the team decided to take
the burden and offer the DHL shipping for 1 KG weight for only
$13.00 and the rest of the cost would be paid from the team
earnings. This measure makes the customer pay less shipping cost and
still have the perfect DHL eXpress service of 72 hours home
delivery, plus the Tracking, the Refunding in case of broken items
ect ... and it gave 24arabia.com the possibility to ship faster and
gain more the customer confidence.
Nowadays, once the order is received at 24arabia.com main office in
Lebanon, the sales team assures that the package includes all
products purchased (from Perfumes, to CDs) and pack the whole
package in Bubble papers (sometimes even twice) to assure the safety
of the package. From the nearest warehouse (depending on the
products ordered), the package leave the warehouse scheduled by our
shipping manager. A tracking number is given to us by DHL and this
number is forwarded to the customer so he can track daily & online
his package - step by step.
Shipping and delivery is a very important issue to 24arabia.com team
and we hope that we have provided you with the best service when

Why are we so cheap
Often a lot of customers (and even competition) ask us how we do it.
The answer is always simple 'Well planned and studied the best
cost effective solution' our motto was always 'From the Source
to the Customer directly!'.
As you can read in our history, it took 10 months exactly
to plan this cost effective solution. We have learned a lot from our
3 years of online experience and found the exact solution from the
purchase of the products, describing, putting it online, selling it,
e-sell, packing, shipping, delivering and after sales service. Our
expert team follows the product from A - Z , until it reaches the
customer (and we dont stop here as most sellers do), we keep the
after sales service to see what product can be rearranged, what
product should be added/deleted ect ...
We are right where we should be
We are located next to all major manufacturers, and this makes it
easy for us to buy directly from the manufacturers. So there
are NO middle men, we cut this extra cost that most shops have! For
example a shop in the US needs to buy Arabic Music CDs, then he must
call the wholesale distributor of that Album or Trademark in the US
and buys from him. This wholesale partner in the US buys from the
wholesale partner in the middle east, who also buys from the
Manufacturer in the middle east. So as you can see from the
manufacturer to the distributor the product has to pass over 3
people and therefore the price of the Album CD will be more
expensive.
We do not pay for shipping
If we had a store in the US for example then, despite the fact that
we must pass 3 people to buy our CDs (as described above), we have
to pay the shipping cost of the Albums from the Middle East to the
US, and this would definitely make us sell the CD more expensive to
cover the price. But since 24arabia.com buys directly from the source
and ships also directly from the source we can maintain the price
very low.
Buying in larger quantities then others
When you buy '1000' CDs from the same Album, then definitely you will
get a better price then buying 50 or 100 CDs from that same Album.
Versify sources
24arabia.com also tries to versify the manufactures from which we buy
to always have the best competitive prices. We buy from Panorama,
Future sound, Rotana, King Media, Relax-in, Sound 2000, Tiger Prod,
Art Pro, FineArt, King Media, Alamelphan, Al Hafez, Emi ect ....
24arabia.com team management spend all their time gathering the best
deal & offers of each Album and product before making the large
order. This way customer can be assured that the price he will get
will always remain the best price in the market.
No fancy chairs + costly advertising
We at 24arabia.com team do not care about fancy chairs, luxurious
items put in our offices, we maintain the the simple aspect and only
the most needed items to ensure the fastest and best service to our
customers.
No thousands of $ paid monthly for advertising like most shops do.
And you must keep in mind, when a shop is paying for advertising for
example $500 a week, then be sure he wants to earn this $500 back by
raising the price of each product for example of $1.00 - But we at
