Description (English)

Great TV Serie first aired in 1982.

"IN THE YEAR 2000..." Thus began many episodes of ASTROBOY, the first Japanese animated TV series to reach the american market. Astroboy was created in Japan by Osamu Tezuka, one of Japan's great pioneers in "Manga" (Japanese comic books). In April 2003 Doctor Boynton produces a sophisticated robot. The machine is a substitute for his son, Toby, who was killed in a traffic accident. But the robot does not grow like a human child. Disappointed, he sells the robot to a robot circus. At the circus his creation is put in public view. But another professor, Dr. Elefun, saves Astro from this plight. Under Dr. Elefun's care, Astro receives an education and a family (built by dr. Elefun). Supported by the love of both his family and the professor, Astro Boy overcomes the contradictions and discrimination of human society, and fights for justice and the peace of all living things, including of course, robots.. A MUST HAVE SERIE! A CLASSICAL SERIE RESTORED BACK ON DVD !

Au debut du 21e siecle, un savant construit un robot a la memoire de son fils, decede dans un accident de voiture. quil le dote de pouvoirs extraordinaires. Mais un robot nest pas un etre humain et ne grandit pas. Realisant ce fait,le professeur abandonne son enfant-robot, qui se retrouvera dans un cirque ou il sera maltraite. il est remarque par un ami du professeur Baltus, le professeur Caudrine. Ce dernier vient a son secours; desormais, au lieu de risquer sa vie soir apres soir pour amuser les spectateurs Astro tentera de combattre la discrimination envers les robots et se battera pour proteger les humains contre les dangers qui les menacent. .
